British Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott Denies George W. Bush Insult.
by Chuck Terzella
United Kingdom Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott has denied reports that, in a fit of frustration over America's handling of the Civil War in Iraq, he called Mr. Bush a "cowboy with his Stetson hat", and termed his peace plan for the Middle East "crap".The comments supposedly were made during a private meeting of lawmakers from the British Labour Party and were apparently reported by Harry Cohen, a MP from that Party who attended the meeting.
In attempting to distance himself from the remarks, Mr. Prescott's office issued a statement that in part explained, "This is an inaccurate report of a private conversation," and went on to say, "What the Deputy Prime Minister actually said was that Mr. Bush was acting like a cowboy in his Stetson hat, not with his Stetson hat. The difference between the two statements could not be plainer, and we wish that MP Cohen would refrain from mischaracterizing Mr. Prescott's words. After all, Mr. Prescott just loves the crap out of George W. Bush, even if he is a bit of a bleeding idiot."
At a time when polling results in the UK show a public solidly behind continuing to follow Mr. Bush's lead in the War of Error…well, at least 14% of the public are solidly behind him…and an even more substantial 8% believing that Mr. Bush and his Cowboy Flunkies are actually winning that war, Mr. Prescott shows himself to be woefully out of step with the British electorate, all 22% of them.
While a certain small and politically insignificant portion of 70 or 80% of British society openly worry about the wisdom following the lead of a man who's actually proud of the name "Dubya" and who thinks he and God regularly converse amongst themselves, the people who matter, or Tony Blair as he's known in the UK, still solidly support Mr. Bush in his quest for world dominat…uh, freedom, and apparently, that's all the matters.
In an even more surprising revelation, Britain's Queen Elizabeth II has reprtedly called Mr. Bush "a disgusting little patch of budgie droppings" and the highly respected alleged child molester Christopher Berry-Dee has been reported to think of Mr. Bush as a guy he'd like to share a pint with, right after Gary Glitter.
Earlier this week we had Prescott's remarks and China's ambassador to the UN telling the administration to "shut up" and be "very, very quiet," and also the Scarborough MSNBC piece, "Is Bush an Idiot." Do you see a pattern developing out there -- the one that developed on the internet about 5 years ago?

I didn't hear about the "shut up" thing, or MSNBC for that matter, but, God, I hope so.
And the MSNBC piece was hosted by, of all people, Joe Scarborough. It was actually hilarious. Here's link: http://www.youtube.com/watc...
One of my favorite 'bushisms' should be his legacy statement: "They [terrorists] never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."
