Washington D.C. (Ucs News)-- Celebratory gun shots rang out todays as the US Supreme court struck down the city's long time ban on hand guns. The city's long suffering criminal population has finally had it's rights restored.
D.C. gang member Riffy Banks stated "We are thrilled to have guns back on the streets of D.C." According to Banks "It's time for the rotten D.C. pigs to get what's coming to them."
Across town US Secret Service commanders are increase staff levels. "With more guns heading for D.C. and the Presidents popularity near zero...It's a disaster in the making."
In a twist of Irony the newly refreshed conservative activist court have have the most to loss with more gun on the street of D.C.....
I must say the gang members are probably treating the news with mixed feelings. While it is far more convenient for them to buy local, register, and save all the gas money from not having to drive to Va. or having to pay excessive prices to buy them on the street, they are no doubt slightly disturbed that their gun running revenues from smuggling guns into DC will not doubt dwindle causing them to have to search for new economic opportunites. Damn conservatives.....always hurting the small businessman.

Actually, the criminals (not counting Congress) in D.C. should be upset at the decision. Now they won't be the only ones carrying firearms. And, as Get Real says, it will lower the price of firearms in D.C. cutting into their gun-running profits. This will put some gun-runners out of business, causing in increase in unemployment.

I think the US Supreme court did the write thing and I was upset that the vote was so close. A 5 to 4 vote tells me that 4 of the members of the supreme are out of touch with the real world. Gang members and criminals have guns regaurdless of the laws and only the honest working law abidding people are left with no way to protect themselves.
